Time to think big

Time to think big

When Peter Klohmann, YCC 2010 2nd Prize Winner, Music, sat in the driver’s seat of a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air on a late September evening, it was only a taste of what was to come that night. The YCC 2010 Award Night, held at the one-of-a-kind Théâtre du Merveilleux in Paris, started with a display of iconic Chevrolet models from the past – but the real focus of the evening was the future of the YCC 2010 winners. Highlights of the party included a room packed with celebrated jury members, a fantastic fashion show and a few big announcements from Chevrolet, such as the partnership with SOS Children’s Villages to kick off Chevrolet’s 100-year anniversary in 2011…

…which brings us to the present, with YCC 2011 really underway. Now is the time when up-and-coming artists from officially-registered YCC 2011 applied arts schools are starting to buckle down and get to work on the creative briefs, which revolve around Chevrolet's 100th birthday. That means the challenge is on to whip up the coolest retro chic outfit, drum up the catchiest birthday tune, stuff one century into one photo with the most panache, crank out the most show-stopping video invitation to the planet's hippest birthday bash, and dash off the most stunning commemorative poster that bridges the past and future.

Up for it?

Time to think big and creatively, because that could be you, grinning, on the eve of the YCC 2011 Award Night.
