Although the names of the YCC 2011 national winners may still be unknown or top secret, one thing is clear: the excitement is growing as rumors of announcements and award ceremonies take hold.

 

Some of the good news has already broken. In Germany, the Music awards have been claimed – in descending order – by Gregor Brechmann (Popakademie, Baden-Württemberg), Daniel Weber (Popakademie, Baden-Württemberg) and Peter Klohmann (Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Stuttgart). They and the other proud winners were invited to celebrate in style in Frankfurt on May 19.

 

In Sweden, students from Borås Textilhögskola school have swept all three Fashion awards. Ida Klamborn, Josefin Strid and Maria Hedmark (from first to third place, respectively) should be feeling some sense of elation, especially given the high standards of the jury – which included graphic designer Lisa Bengtsson, fashion designer Bea Szenfeld, radio host for the arts Alexander H. Rauch-Estreic, and trend and design expert Stefan Nilsson.
