A packed course load and looming graduation collection couldn’t stop fashion student and YCC 2010 winner Jungeun Eom from taking part in an exclusive behind-the-scenes work experience, awarded to first-prize winners in each YCC discipline. Jungeun recently hopped over to London from Paris – where she is spending her final year at ESMOD – to dive into the fast-paced world of Lipsy.
The headquarters of the young British fashion brand welcomed Jungeun for a two-day crash course in the business of running this highly visible and in-demand label. Jungeun was invited to spend time with different teams inside the fashion house – not least the in-house designers who work at breakneck speeds to move the hottest looks from the catwalk into Lipsy stores, which are spread across the UK and making inroads in the US.
With Lipsy spotted on fashion lovers and celebrities alike (from Paris Hilton and Mena Suvari to Kate Middleton), Jungeun was thrilled to have access to one of the most stimulating fashion brands out there – and get a sense of the creativity and work that go into making Lipsy what it is.
